P1 Using information
After collecting information, it must be processed into useful information. It can then be used by the organisation in order to make more profit, by changing the way that they run the business according to the data that they get. an example of this would be when Sainsbury's has a lot of excess stock which is not selling well, they can create promotions in store to sell the stock and make profit from it, rather than loosing money on the stock because it goes out of date. I have created a poster which shows the ways that Sainsbury's uses its information to increase it's profits.

P2 GOOD INFOMATION
I created a poster to show the characteristics of good information. Good information is vital for any organisation as it enables them to do what they are doing much more easily and efficiently. an example of this would be how I have used a footfall report in my small business game. The data in the footfall report must be accurate and follow the other characteristics mentioned in my poster otherwise it would not help me in my business and would instead hinder me, as I may begin to cater for people who do not even exist. The footfall report allowed me to see how many people were visiting my store, and combined with a POS report, allowed me to see also what they are buying.
